We are looking for a Subrogation Representative to join our team. If you have strong customer focus coupled with well-developed communication, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills, we'd like to knowReporting to the National Subrogation Unit Team Leader, the Subrogation Representative is accountable to investigate and negotiate the recovery owed to Definity from the responsible third parties. These types of claims will include personal and auto losses received from claims offices across Canada.What can you expect in this role?Review and analyze claims for subrogation potential and determine the ultimate probable outcome of recoveryIdentify and pursue all potential responsible partiesPrepare files and documents as well as determine the amount of recovery from the claims fileContact third parties, third party insurers or lawyers to initiate settlement negotiationsManage a large volume of claims files and other subrogation projects as neededIncrease subrogation awareness and provide support to our claims partners across CanadaWhat do you bring to the role?University degree, a 2-year college diploma or working towards your CIP designation1-3 years of auto claims handling experience required, preference given to subrogation experienceProficient in Word & ExcelStrong written and verbal communication skillsNegotiation experience would be an assetAbility to work in both French and English would be an assetProfessional and courteous in all interactionsAbility to work independently and make decisions quickly when requiredThis position is available at any one of the following locations: Halifax, Ottawa, Mississauga, Waterloo, Edmonton, Calgary, or VancouverSalary range is $43,700 - $80,500 #J-18808-Ljbffr
