OverviewThis is a temporary position ending on or before June 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension. The NAIT Diagnostic Laboratory Programs, within the School of Health and Life Sciences, seek a full-time instructor to lead the delivery of curriculum and design for lecture and lab learning. If you require accommodations, please contact careers@nait.ca.-Key ResponsibilitiesStudent instruction and evaluation for lectures and labsStudent support activitiesCurriculum development for courses to include lecture and lab content, assessments, rubrics and other learning activities, as well as curriculum updates to reflect the current competency profile and industry standardsSome evening and/or weekend hours for lab instruction and other educational events may be required in certain semestersParticipation in continuing education including regular industry updatesSkills & AbilitiesThe successful candidate must have an excellent working knowledge of medical laboratory professions and exhibit strong interpersonal and customer service skills, adapt easily to change and espouse continuous quality improvement with a strong focus on student success and satisfaction.Proficient computer skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated professionalismAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to juggle competing prioritiesQualificationsA degree or diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized post-secondary instituteA related bachelor’s degree in health sciences or science may be an assetConsiderable experience as a General Medical Laboratory TechnologistUnrestricted General MLT practice permit with the CMLTACSMLS registration is considered an assetExperience working with MS Office products and willing to learn other software and learning management toolsExperience in delivery of adult education and/or curriculum designExperience with course set up and delivery using a learning management system is considered an assetImmunizations’ status and police information checks, as required by the program, may be requestedApplicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES).RemunerationWill commensurate with education and experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.Instructor salary grid $65,218.00 - $113,452.00 annually. However, starting salary for new hires averages between $78,998.00 - $85,889.00 annually based on education and experience with room for negotiations.
