The System Administrator will provide Linux and Windows server and network support. Additional tasks will include maintaining systems, troubleshooting customer-related issues and assigned project work.RequirementsMonitoring managed customer equipmentTake lead on Project workManaging & monitoring the ticketing system queueProviding remote troubleshooting and onsite troubleshooting as requiredPerforming administrative tasks and troubleshooting for managed desktop clientsReviewing and analyzing logs such as security and maintenance log filesEscalating to next level technical/vendor support as neededProactively contacting customers when critical events requireStrong communication skills – written and verbalExcellent customer service skills in person, over the phone and via emailStrong multitasking, troubleshooting and analytical thinking skillsGood time management skills, the ability to work independentlyAbility to multitaskQualifications4 years of Linux System Administration experienceGood experience with Linux variants such as Centos, Debian, Red Hat, Ubuntu etc.4 years of experience with Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016 and Windows Desktop 7,8,10 AdminHands-on experience with VMWareHyper-V experience is an assetExperience with various firewalls – CISCO, Fortigate, SonicWall etc.Juniper experience is an assetUnderstanding of Internet Services, DNS, Bind, SMTP-mail servers, Web-Hosting, VPN, SANA good understanding of TCP/IP and general networking and systems securityThis is permanent position located in Toronto, ON with a salary of $63,000.00 – $78,000.00 per annum. #J-18808-Ljbffr
