Job Summary And Requirements 1 full time permanent position Judges’ Assistant – Territorial Court of Yukon The Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Judges’ Assistant, this position provides a full range of executive and administrative assistance to the Senior Judges’ Assistant, three resident judges of the Territorial Court of Yukon, deputy judges and justices of the peace. We are looking for a professional individual who is self-motivated and who exercises diplomacy and confidentiality in their day-to-day work. You must be able to work effectively alone or in a team environment with minimal supervision and be able to manage a fluctuating workload with frequent interruptions while continuing to meet deadlines. Selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information provided in your resume: Successful completion of an Office or Legal Administration program Significant executive and administrative support experience Extensive experience and proficiency with technology, software and applications, including Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook. Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered. Skills Desired knowledge, skills & suitability Candidates should have and may be assessed on the following: High-level of organizational skills and attention to detail Self-motivation, work independently, and take initiative Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team environment Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet critical, often short, deadlines Understanding of judicial independence Professionalism, including tact and diplomacy Excellent interpersonal, communication, and research skills Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality Analytical and problem-solving skills The following knowledge and skills will be considered an asset: Bilingual (English/French) Legal experience Experience working with YG financial processes Additional Information Conditions of employment: Criminal records check This position is a confidential exclusion and therefore excluded from the bargaining unit.
