The focus is on enterprise data governance and IT controls, including documentation, testing, gap identification, and automation of control processes. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders across data governance, risk, finance, and technology functions.Key Responsibilities :Lead documentation and testing of IT data controls across capital markets applications.Identify gaps and propose remediation strategies aligned with regulatory standards.Drive automation of control testing and reporting using data tools and technologies.Collaborate with data stewards, technology owners, and risk teams to ensure control adherence.Provide leadership visibility on testing coverage and control maturity.Develop SOPs, process documentation, and support data quality initiatives.Utilize modern collaboration tools for project documentation, issue tracking, and knowledge sharing.Mandatory Skills :6-12+ years of experience in data governance, lineage, IT controls, or data quality within Capital Markets or Financial Services.Deep understanding of the Capital Markets domain, including trade lifecycle, operations, finance, and risk.Experience with testing automation frameworks.Programming skills in scripting languages such as Python.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Solid background in data management, data warehousing, data profiling, and SQL.Problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficiency with tools like Collibra, Alation, Ab Initio, Tableau, Confluence, JIRA, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio.Ability to work well in a team environment.Must have existing legal Canadian work status; preferred locations are Halifax or Calgary.Seniority level : Mid-Senior levelEmployment type : Full-timeIndustries : Business Consulting and ServicesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Exusia by 2x.Sign in to set job alerts for “Data Governance Lead / Lead Data Analyst” roles.We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way, with AI-assisted expert insights.J-18808-Ljbffr #J-18808-Ljbffr
