Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent for our client, a well‑established Western Canadian construction firm with a strong reputation for delivering meaningful projects across commercial, industrial, recreational, and Indigenous developments. This organization is known for its hands‑on, collaborative approach and long‑standing presence in the construction industry. Location Manitoba (rural) Rotation 20 days on / 10 days off Key Responsibilities Lead and enforce site health & safety programs in compliance with OH&S legislation and company policies Direct and coordinate all on‑site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal crews Oversee site layout, elevations, and surveying to ensure accuracy Manage scheduling, sequencing, and progress tracking to maintain project timelines Conduct daily site orientations, hazard assessments, and maintain detailed site reports Ensure construction aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes Implement and maintain quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle Chair regular subcontractor coordination meetings Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for compliance Utilize on‑site technology and software (Word, Excel, Outlook; Procore considered an asset) Qualifications Journeyperson certificate or post‑secondary diploma/degree in a related field Gold Seal Certification preferred Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience as a Site Superintendent or in field supervision Strong track record of promoting and enforcing a safety‑first culture Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices Experience coordinating multiple scopes and trade partners Solid understanding of contract language and risk management Knowledge of pre‑engineered metal building systems is an asset Valid driver’s license About MatchBox Headquartered in downtown Vancouver and serving clients nationally, MatchBox is one of the leading recruitment and solutions firms that specializes in the fields of IT & Technology, Engineering & Technical, Real Estate & Construction, and Accounting & Finance.
