Join us today and make a difference Job Description RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI‑MUHC) is a world‑renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI‑MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS). Position Summary Under the supervision of the Manager of Oncology Research, Centre for Innovative Medicine (CIM), the Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse is responsible for supporting the successful conduct of clinical research studies in oncology. The incumbent will collaborate with investigators and health‑care personnel to assume responsibility for overall patient management and the coordination of several clinical studies for the CIM‑Oncology Department of the RI‑MUHC. The Centre for Innovative Medicine is located in the new Glen site hospital, a unique centre in Canada of 5000 m² dedicated exclusively to clinical research. General Duties Obtain informed consent, assess patients for protocol eligibility through personal interviews and/or medical record review in in‑patient and out‑patient settings. Maintain and complete concomitant medication, adverse events and questionnaires logs, forms and protocol‑specific source documentation. Monitor patient safety and medication compliance. Prepare orders for protocol‑related requests and procedures, consult, prescriptions and requests for pathology slides and blocks as needed. Coordinate all aspects of data collection and source documentation. Complete all research‑related documents and respond to queries and requests for information. Conduct protocol‑specific and scientific trainings. Create protocol‑specific nursing alerts/feasibilities for the oncology day centre. Assist with the submission of serious adverse events to the Research Ethics Board. Conduct other related tasks as assigned by supervisor. Education / Experience Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC) – Field of Study: Nursing. Other education considered an asset: BAC in Nursing. Work Experience 4 years of experience, including 2 years in a hospital setting. Experience in hematology and oncology (asset). Experience in clinical research (asset). Required Skills Bilingual: French and English spoken and written to communicate efficiently with patients and personnel. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Able to work under minimal supervision. Self‑directed, flexible, organized, and sense of ethics. Knowledge of international, federal and provincial laws and regulations governing clinical research (ICH‑GCP) is an asset. Additional Information Employment type: Full‑time (35 hours/week). 1‑year contract. Pay Scale: DEC level 6 : $44 408.00‑$82 427.80; BAC level 8 : $55 692.00‑$103 412.40; commensurate with education & work experience. Work shift: Monday to Friday 8:00 am‑4:00 pm.
