Director, FP&A The Director of FP&A role is responsible for leading the Americas Commercial Finance team with the mission to strategically influence business decisions, improve processes and optimize partnerships, performance, margin and growth through leveraging data and analytics. The role is a key business partner and an integral member of the leadership team, working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer and senior sales executives on headcount planning, pipeline/forecasting and long‑range operational planning. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who turns complex numbers into actionable business insights and can both manage and roll up their sleeves for detailed analysis. Major Responsibilities & Activities Analyze forward‑looking financial analytics to drive operational action that achieves business goals in partnership with CRO and senior sales leaders. Own process improvement and standardization across Americas finance and implement best practices. Drive continuous improvement of business decision‑making and investment optimization, presenting predictive sales metrics. Understand and apply SaaS KPIs such as ARR, retention, replacement rates, new business bookings, pipeline coverage, marketing spend ROI, etc. Establish tools and frameworks (Salesforce, Power BI) for optimizing decision‑making. Provide future‑forward strategic decision support through insightful, operational recommendations. Own COR/SG&A management across the Americas commercial business; build and develop a high‑performing team and best‑in‑class commercial finance unit. Facilitate cross‑functional communication to understand all aspects of operating performance, income drivers, unusual items and industry issues. Support all FP&A needs of the platforms, including analytics that focus on key financial levers and provide actionable insights. Perform regular industry benchmarking to inform strategies and provide context to performance. Communicate performance, challenges and opportunities clearly to stakeholders. Lead monthly/quarterly reporting, ensuring clear linkage to key drivers, budgets and incentive targets. Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, design & execute models, and simplify and enhance current practices. Analyze trends, recommend and implement corrective actions, support strategic planning initiatives and special projects. Implement strong controls, ensure data accuracy and work closely with accounting, tax and treasury on key projects. Drive finance discipline, fact‑based decision‑making and provide financial analytics for all business decisions, including balance sheet and cash‑flow forecasting. Build financial tools, reporting mechanisms, business modeling and planning processes that scale growth and identify risks and opportunities. Accountabilities Be a trusted, strategic partner who adds value through accurate, timely, and pertinent financial insights; provide forward‑looking financial leadership and analysis; develop robust procedures for financial statements, forecasts and business analysis; focus on continuous improvement and clear communication; coach global financial staff on analysis and reporting. Job Requirements Minimum 7–10 years of FP&A experience. Track record of thriving in a dynamic, growth‑oriented, and often highly ambiguous environment; SaaS experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; MBA or CPA preferred. Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis; complex financial models. Ability to develop planning calendars and meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with non‑finance personnel. Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word. Experience with large ERP systems, multiple currencies, consolidation software, and tools. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to persuade others through disciplined use of data. Strong systems knowledge including NetSuite, Power BI, Salesforce or other required CRM tools. Strong project management skills with accuracy and speed. Positive attitude and flexibility in re‑prioritizing projects. Strategic thinking, analytical skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of data. Detail orientation with high attention to quality and accuracy. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to develop outstanding business relationships and provide functional leadership even when not all players report directly. Disciplined work ethic, well organized, team player and results oriented. Ability to work across cultures and functions seamlessly.
