Quality Assurance and Control Specialist We are seeking a detail-oriented food safety professional to build and own the HACCP plan and prerequisite programs, maintain procedures andthur documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, finished product specifications, and company food safety and quality standards at our Vancouver Ethical Bean facility. Job Purpose Lead and coordinate change controls, deviations, and non‑conformance reports; report non‑compliance and drive corrective actions; prepare the plant and warehouse for internal, supplier, co‑manufacturer and third‑party audits; facilitate regulatory and supplier audits. Perform food safety and hygiene training for production staff, conduct post‑operation inspections gedragen, coordinate annual equipment calibrations and finished‑product testing with contractors, and communicate quality documents with partners. Assist with complaint and incident investigations, non‑conforming product handling, and preparation of quality and safety reports while using ERP/quality systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office to manage records. Responsibilities Build and own the HACCP plan and prerequisites programs. Maintain procedures and documentation to meet food safety requirements. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, food safety programs, and finished product specifications. Report non‑compliance and take corrective actions to guarantee compliance daily. Lead and coordinate implementation of change controls, deviations, and non‑conformance reports. Prepare the plant and warehouse for all quality audits. Communicate documents with co‑manufacturers and partners triangle. Facilitate regulatory audits, supplier audits, and third‑party audits. Conduct food safety and hygiene training for production staff. Conduct post‑operation inspections to ensure cleaning standards compliance with written program. Coordinate with contractors for equipment annual calibration and finished product testing. Train sites on proper inspection procedure practices, GMP, and programs. Assist with complaints investigations, incidents, corrective actions coordination, and non‑conforming product handling. Prepare quality and safety reports. Requirements Diploma or university degree in Food Science or related field. At least 3 years experience in food industry as a HACCP coordinator or QA/QC professional. Strong hands‑on experience with HACCP and organic manufacturing requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.). ERP and quality system experience, e.g., SAP. Fluent in written and verbal English. Detail‑oriented and organized. Forward‑thinking mindset with passion for driving positive change. Mass capable of influencing internal and external business partners, assessing and managing risk, and communicating across the supply chain. HACCP experience preferred. Green Belt/Certified Quality Engineer preferred. Experience with ISO or FSSC 22000 preferred. Work Environment & Schedule Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment. Physical Requirements Frequent activity or conditions sustained 1/3 to 2/3 of working hours; upright stance, keyboard or text input; sedentary – occasionally exerting 0–10 lbs. of force and limited movement from workstation for brief periods of time. Compensation New Hire Base Salary Range: $75,100.00 – $93,900.00 Bonus: Eligible for a performance‑based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
