Position: Journeyperson HVAC TechnicianLocation: Greater Toronto Area, ON - Toronto Pearson AirportStructure: Full-Time, On-SiteABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITYBlack & McDonald’s Facilities Management & Operations team is growing If you are committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you.Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking a Journeyperson HVAC Technician - Service based out of Toronto Pearson Airport to support our Facilities Management & Operations.The Journeyman HVAC Technician will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain and various HVAC/R systems and componentsReplace and upgrade existing systems and components related to the HVAC tradeRespond to emergency service calls within our client baseIdentify deficiencies and make recommendations to clientsComplete work orders, deficiency reports, field quotations, estimates and daily time summaries in a timely fashionReplacement of various types of equipment (small projects)Perform scheduled maintenance as assignedMay be required to work weekend overtime shifts and or statutory holidaysMaintain a professional demeanourExceptional customer service skillsCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTSCommunicates EffectivelyCustomer FocusProblem Solving and InnovationTeamwork and CollaborationEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS313A Certificate of QualificationValid G1 Gas licenseODP and TSSA Brazing CertifiedWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS3-5 years of experience as an HVAC Journeyman performing service, maintenance, upgrades and installations for ICI (Institutional, Commercial, Industrial) sitesAny related manufacturer factory training is an assetSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTSMust be able to apply for obtain and maintain necessary security clearance (RAIC) including transportation security clearance.Must be able to apply for obtain and maintain an Airside Vehicle Operators’ Permits (AVOP)Valid G driver’s licenseStrong mechanical and electrical/controls ability and problem solving skillsGood physical strength and staminaAbility to work well with coworkers and clientsBlack & McDonald welcomes and encourages applications from persons with disabilities.
