The successful candidate will build and maintain positive, long-lasting relationships with clients, insurance company representatives, and team members. The Account Manager must be well organized and possess the ability to prioritize workflow while working with their team to provide outstanding customer service to our clients.We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong time management and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.What you’ll be doing:Maintain positive, long-term relationships with clients, brokers, insurance company representatives, and team members.Provide value to clients by offering newly available coverages, identifying exposures, determining the appropriate solutions to those exposures, and advising the client of the reasons the solutions are best for their business.Respond to the insurance company and/or client concerns/inquiries in a timely professional manner.Organize and prioritize work effectively with a sense of urgency.Maintain current client files.Work in close collaboration with MIB Broker Partners and new business underwriters.Manage a book of business with a mix of small to medium commercial insurance accounts with an MGA/Specialty Market.Negotiate coverages, rates and premiums with insurance underwriters and MIB clients.Create and update new business and renewal submissions and market existing business if required.Conduct annual renewal reviews with clients and provide recommendations, if required.Cross selling opportunities on mono lines policies.Review inspection reports and follow up for outstanding recommendations.Manage accounts receivable / transactions on the accounts on Agency Billing policies.Work closely with the claims department and clients during claims negotiations and settlements.Perform other related duties and projects, as required.What we need you to bring:Minimum College or University level Degree/Undergraduates Degree or comparable experienceMinimum 3 - 5 years of work experience in a commercial lines department at an Insurance Brokerage and/or Insurance company in a similar role and/or with similar duties and responsibilitiesR.I.B.O (Level I) LicenseProficient with insurance policy systems as well as MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience working with company portals and Broker Management System (EPIC) is an asset.CIP or CAIB Certification or working towards its completionMy Insurance Broker is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and diverse workplace.
