Ultimately, EllisDon’s purpose is to provide people with similar values the opportunity to achieve to their full potential; to deliver that opportunity for great careers to one another; and to contribute meaningfully to the community we share with others.You as a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator will:Be responsible for site specific safety orientation, job site inspections and accident/incident reportsMonitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and escalate issues to resolutionProactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct themOrganize and conduct training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First AidCreate, maintain, and educate all site staff on maintaining a safety first cultureReview of subcontractors’ pre-construction safety submittalsReview and file subcontractors’ weekly safety submittalsEffectively compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly project health and safety statisticsIs this the right role for you?You have a minimum of 3-5 years’ of safety construction experience (ICI)You have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulationsYou are working towards, or are already certified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act/Regulations with experience working on a construction siteYou have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulationsEllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.Go ahead and be yourself.
