Join to apply for the Cash Application Coordinator role at Day & Ross Somerville, NB (Hybrid) Job Description The Cash Application Coordinator is responsible for accurately applying payments received to customer accounts in the CargoWise, Centerline, Great Plains, and Oracle systems. They actively contribute to process improvement with suggestions and ideas. This position is all about consistency, accuracy, and compliance to processes including privacy and security requirements. How You'll Help Corporate – serves all divisions across all departments – juggling stakeholders internal and external Ensures all payments received by check, direct deposit, or credit card are processed and applied correctly to accounts by the end of each day. Taking phone calls and processing credit card payments Balances and reconciles receipts and cash applied daily Monthly reporting as required Bring ideas and suggestions for process improvement forward and works with the team to implement improvements Understanding and applying the business policies, taking corrective action when necessary Other related duties as may be required Your Skills & Experience Post‑secondary education in business administration, accounting or related field A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered Experience in a finance role, preferably in the transportation industry Data entry experience required Effective communication skills, verbal and written Strong numerical skills including the ability to input data accurately and efficiently with attention to detail Troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills related to payments received Excellent customer service skills and relationship building skills, both internally and externally Motivated and dependable with a good sense of time management and urgency; ability to prioritize work Confident with a positive attitude; ability to show initiative, think “outside the box”, make decisions and take accountability for results Investigative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others to meet service level agreements Good computer skills, including the use of MS Office; AS400 an asset; ability to learn new programs Intermediate Excel skills required To apply, visit our Careers page at dayross.com.
