The Senior Business Analyst, Business Initiatives reports to the Manager, Business Initiatives and works closely with the Sr. Manager, Business Delivery. The role supports the development, planning and execution of new and ongoing business initiatives within Scotia Jarislowsky Fraser (SJF), including national level projects to enhance field operations and sales. Activities range from researching policies and consolidating data to communicating with stakeholders. Accountabilities Work alongside the Direct Manager and Senior Manager, Business Delivery in the execution of strategic business enhancements across the business. Provide sustainment of SJF national programs. Execute project enhancements and maintenance to make it easier to do business with SJF. Support the creation and delivery of projects. Work with project leads to organize and facilitate project training sessions for all SJF. Marketing Initiatives Actively participate in the Marketing Field User Group by taking notes and executing the projects presented by the team. Research and analyze other Financial Institutions’ marketing initiatives to help identify marketing strategies that will support SJF. Manage and organize a quarterly audit on SJF LinkedIn users by analyzing and communicating with inactive users to reactivate their accounts. Organize and facilitate training sessions on marketing platforms. Execute marketing initiatives that support the business’s new SJF name. Communications Conduct LinkedIn analysis of other financial institutions and assist the Manager, Communications in executing SJF LinkedIn strategy. Create project communications that will be reviewed and approved by the Manager, Communications. Create and organize weekly newsletter project blurbs to be shared with the Manager, Communications and distributed to all SJF. Support execution of communication strategy as directed by Manager Communications. Team Contribution Participate in team learning, development and Achievers recognition opportunities. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions. Execute the SJF ScotiaBond Committee initiatives. Provide support to key strategic initiatives aimed to amplify SFJ’s Total Wealth offering. Encourage generation of new ideas and approaches by taking part in team meetings, working groups and special projects. Education / Work Experience University Degree or College Diploma in Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance is an asset. Working knowledge of products and services offered by Scotiabank partners is an asset. Knowledge of SJF operations and sales environments is an asset. Bilingual in French is an asset. Knowledge and experience working with social media platforms in a business environment is an asset. Ability to understand change management is an asset. Experience in executing and leading projects from start to finish is an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to prepare communications and interact effectively with Senior Management, other Bank departments and external partners. Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate data concisely. Detail oriented. Excellent time management skills. Ability to work independently. Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate a positive and effective team environment at all levels of the organization. Results / goal oriented and self‑motivated and disciplined.
