In accordance with the Temporary Librarian, Administrative and Professional Staff Agreement, the position offers a comprehensive benefits package and an annual salary range of $75,255 to $124,959, with a market supplement of $12,917. The appointment ends on November 30, 2026. Location Hybrid role: primarily at North Campus, Edmonton, with remote and in‑person duties. Responsibilities Provide in‑person and telehealth/virtual short‑term counselling to University of Alberta students for a broad range of mental health concerns; complete paperwork and charting in a timely manner. Connect students to community resources and other health and wellness services as needed, particularly where longer‑term treatment is required. Develop and facilitate occasional in‑person or telehealth/virtual group therapy programs and psycho‑educational workshops. Contribute to CCS program evaluation, development, and improvement with an emphasis on building services that improve access, community, and belonging. Qualifications Master’s degree in Psychology (counselling or clinical). Registration in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Familiarity with and adherence to the Health Professions Act, Health Information Act, Protection of Privacy Act, CAP Standards of Practice, Canadian Code of Ethics, and the CAP Practice Guidelines for Psychologists. Comfortable using technology such as Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Zoom, and Electronic Records Management systems. Capacity to work in a busy clinic with high service demands; flexible and teamwork‑based approaches required. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with diverse and equity‑deserving communities (e.g., First Nations, Métis, Inuit peoples; 2SLGBTQ+ individuals; people with disabilities; newcomers or international students). Fluency in a second language for counselling, particularly French or Mandarin. Five years post‑registration and the capacity to supervise Master’s‑level practicum students.
