We are seeking a Director, Risk Management & InvestigationsThe Director, Risk Management & Investigations (RMI) is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for a team of specialists who provide risk consultancy, close protection, and investigation services to clients. This includes developing and implementing risk management service lines, business development strategies, and a focus on continuous improvement of client services. The Risk Management & Investigations portfolio includes services that identify, assess, and help mitigate threats to client safety, security, and infrastructure, where threats may impact the operations, finances, regulatory, or reputational success of the enterprise. Service lines include threat risk assessment, confidential investigations, surveillance, executive protection, and open-source intelligence collection, analysis, and reporting.Scarlet Security & Risk Group (SSRG) is one of Canada's leading security companies. Our diverse, highly qualified team members and relentless commitment to excellence create superior results for our clients.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and oversee strategies, service lines, processes, and resources that identify, assess, and provide treatment recommendations relating to client threatsDevelop and execute operational plans and concepts of operations with a focus on continuous improvementRecruit, oversee, coach, and develop specialist personnel and provide support as requiredImplement policies and operational procedures; complete projects supporting SSRG objectivesAdminister employee performance and development programsWork collaboratively across all internal SSRG business linesMaintain a high standard of professionalism and lead by exampleGenerate new business and service opportunitiesPerform other duties as assigned or required as the role developsRequirementsMinimum 10 years of experience in risk management and investigations (preferred)Public safety/law enforcement experience an assetMinimum 5 years of leadership experienceGraduate degree in a related field an assetValid Private Investigator License and Security Consultant LicenseCertified Protection Professional (CPP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or similar designation preferredStrong understanding of risk management methodologies, investigative techniques, and compliance requirementsManagement experience with standards such as ISO 31000, CSA Z624:20, BCER Security Management Regulation Guidelines, and NERC Physical Security GuidelineStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear and defensible client reportsAbility to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretionDemonstrated leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skillsHigh ethical standards, sound judgment, and integrityProject management experienceProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPointValid Driver's LicenseInfrastructure and Vulnerability Assessment course completion an assetKnowledge of Acts, Statutes, Regulations, and best practices related to risk management and investigationsGeneral knowledge of risk and security-related case lawCommitment to continuous learning and improvementAbility to adapt to changing priorities and drive positive changeAbility to work remotely and travel as neededMust obtain and maintain enhanced security clearanceMust be legally authorized to work in CanadaWorking ConditionsThe Director works remotely and/or from an SSRG office in Western Canada, with travel across the country as needed. This position reports to the Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives.
