Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, this role requires operational excellence to align people programs with business priorities across the organization.Your Day With EquisoftAct as ambassador of Equisoft's employer brand by supporting the employee experiencePromote the values and culture of our organizationProvide backup support to HRBPs during absences and vacations, ensuring continuity of HR servicesIndependently coach and guide team leads and newly promoted managers on HR processes, policies, and best practicesAdvise first-time managers through basic performance management issues, including coaching conversations, feedback delivery, and documentationProvide advice and guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and legislationRespond to employee inquiries and provide consultation on standard HR mattersSupport performance management processes and employee development initiativesContribute to HR initiatives while operating in a supporting capacityLeave Management & HR Process OwnershipCoordinate between employees, managers, and external parties (insurance providers, medical professionals) for all leave typesFollow up on expired medical notes and ensure timely renewalsComplete and submit long-term disability (LTD) claims and documentationMaintain regular contact with employees on leave, providing support and answering questionsTrack leave timelines and ensure compliance with legislative requirementsManage return-to-work processes and accommodation planningMaintain accurate leave records and reportingHR Projects & Continuous ImprovementParticipate in and contribute to HR projects and initiativesProvide input on the continuous improvement of HR practices, processes, and toolsSupport change management initiatives and organizational development effortsStay informed regarding trends in human resources management and labour lawContribute insights and recommendations to HR strategy discussionsRequirementsDegree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field3-5 years of progressive HR experience, including some generalist experienceStrong knowledge of labour and employment laws across multiple jurisdictions (Québec, Ontario, and the United States)Excellent proficiency in French and English (spoken and written)Experience coaching managers or facilitating training sessions is an assetExperience in IT environments or professional services is an assetStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systemsExcellent interpersonal, coaching, and consultation skillsAbility to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and policiesStrong organizational and case management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesSound judgment and problem-solving abilitiesDiscretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential mattersEquisoft is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
