OverviewPURPOSEThis position is responsible to develop and establish objectives for CST. CST wants to combine digitalization and e-commerce innovation with traditional CEO responsibilities, to transform a traditional mining company into a modern, competitive and sustainable industry leader.Responsibilities & Performance StandardsStrategic Leadership and VisionDevelop company’s long-term vision, incorporating emerging trends in digitalization and e-commerce to modernize mining operations and revenue generation.Align business goals with technological advancements to drive sustainable growth and innovation.Digital Transformation LeadershipSpearhead the adoption of advanced digital technologies to optimize exploration, extraction, processing, and logistics.Oversee the implementation of predictive maintenance systems and automated equipment to improve operational efficiency and safety.Ensure the integration of data analytics platforms for real-time decision-making and performance monitoring.E-Commerce and Market InnovationDevelop and implement strategies to digitize sales channels, enabling direct-to-customer (DTC) sales, enhanced customer engagement, and streamlined e-commerce platforms.Explore opportunities for online marketplaces to trade raw materials, surplus inventory, or mining equipment, increasing market reach.Leverage digital marketing strategies to promote sustainability initiatives, build brand reputation, and attract eco-conscious stakeholders.Sustainability and Innovation AdvocacyLead efforts to integrate sustainable mining practices, supported by digital tools to monitor environmental impact and resource usage.Promote innovation in green mining technologies and renewable energy adoption.Ensure compliance with global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards through transparent reporting facilitated by digital tools.Collaboration and Stakeholder EngagementMaintain open communication with shareholders, emphasizing the company’s commitment to digitalization management, growth and e-commerce development.Operational Excellence and EfficiencyLead initiatives digital system to supply chain management, reducing costs and improving operational efficiency.Oversee the adoption of smart mining platforms for enhanced productivity and reduced downtime.Monitor KPIs related to digital transformation and continuously refine processes based on performance metrics.Cybersecurity and Risk ManagementDevelop and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to safeguard sensitive data and mining infrastructure.Mitigate risks associated with the digitalization of operations and e-commerce platforms.Talent Development and Workforce Digital SkillsChampion the upskilling and reskilling of employees to adapt to digital technologies and e-commerce trends.Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the organization.Financial Oversight with a Focus on Digital InvestmentsOversee budgeting and financial performance, prioritizing investments in digital tools, automation, and e-commerce platforms.Drive cost efficiency through digital solutionsCustomer-Centric and Market-Driven ApproachUse advanced customer analytics to understand buyer needs and enhance the customer experience on e-commerce platforms.Ensure seamless integration of customer service tools to improve responsiveness and satisfaction.Education, Experience and QualificationsA university degree in business administration, commerce, computer science or other discipline related to the service provided is required.At least 4 years experience as a middle managerHaving Digitalization and E-Commerce Innovation experience beneficialMine experience beneficiaStrong communication skills and leadershipTechnical Competencies & SkillsSelf-starter with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Experience with projectsHigh attention to detail and the ability to work independently.Capable of explaining company operation report to board of directorQuick learner, adaptable, and able to manage tasks efficientlyMaintains professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and fosters a positive work environment.Strategic Planning: Ability to design and implement long-term strategies to optimize productivity and profitability.Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing operational metrics, financial data, and market trends to inform decision-making.Project Management: Expertise in managing large-scale projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.Risk Assessment: Skills in evaluating and mitigating operational, financial, and environmental risks.Budget Management: Proficiency in preparing, managing, and monitoring operational budgets and capital expenditures.Financial Analysis: Skills in profitability assessment, cost control, and investment evaluation.Forecasting: Ability to predict market trends, raw material demands, and financial outcomes.Work EnvironmentThis position is based in Grande Cache, Alberta. There is no remote option. Please be advised there are no camp facilities available.
