Responsibilities As the Active Living Manager, you will enhance the quality of life for our residents by developing and implementing a wide range of engaging and meaningful programs. Duties include: building monthly calendars/newsletters, scheduling events and live entertainment, evaluating and improving program choices, ensuring team alignment with core values, managing an active volunteer program, and fostering an environment that promotes wellness, social interaction, and overall happiness. Experience Minimum 2 years recreation/active living experience and 1 year of leadership with mature adults and seniors. Minimum 2 years post‑secondary education in recreation, leisure studies, gerontology, social services, kinesiology, health promotion, health sciences or related field. Certifications or training in gerontology, senior fitness, dementia/alzheimer, wellness interventions, SmartServe, food handling and volunteer management are assets. Knowledge of program adaptations for individuals with cognitive, physical and sensory impairments. Current Class 4 license or ability to obtain. Current CPR/first aid certification. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office). Creative approach to program and event design. Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within six months) or willingness to obtain.
