We are looking to expand our recreation/community services planning (recreation master plans, needs assessments, and community service planning) team. Don’t want to come to the office, well you don’t have to, we allow for working at home. This position

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Implementing surveys for the recreation industry in relation to playgrounds, parks, campgrounds and sports fields.
- Assists recreation planners on planning documents.
- Assists with the preparation and coordination of park and trail management planning, infrastructure, and site plans.
- Drafts reports on a variety of planning and project initiatives.
- Inspecting playgrounds, parks, campgrounds and sports fields in western Canada with training provided.
- Assists in organizing and coordinating public engagement initiatives and public consultations.
- Undertakes research and participates in cooperative planning exercises with other stakeholders.
- Assists with the preparation of data and related budget information.
- Travelling to unique municipalities in Western Canada. (up to a week in length)
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- A related diploma or degree, urban and regional planning, geography, public administration and community development, recreation, recreation management, business administration, with a focus on parks and recreation.
- At least two years of recreation experience in recreation programming, facilitation, community consultation or construction.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Some experience with environmental, recreational and social studies related to park and trail management, preparing park and trail management plans, studies and policies.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
- Ability to collect and analyze data and understand a variety of technical reports, demonstrating a strong attention to quality and detail.
- Knowledge of research techniques and principles.
- Knowledge of and ability to use various computer word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Moderate physical activity is required by handling objects up to 50 lbs. occasionally and/or up-to 35 lbs. frequently
- Must possess a valid AB Driver’s License.

**Salary**: $37,484.42-$85,000.00 per year
