We embrace a culture challenging the status quo and constantly looking to simplify processes, technology, and workflow.This position reports to the AVP - Software Engineering.Come join our teamWhat you'll do:Review software requirements efficientlyBuild architectural diagrams / design documentsDesign screens, business rules, and workflow changesWrite programs, configure / package / deploy softwareEstablish and follow coding standardsDebug and unit test the codePerform peer code reviewsMentor junior resourcesWhat you'll bring:Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent experience.10+ years proven experience in Guidewire Application DevelopmentMust work on Guidewire BC ConfigurationNice to have Guidewire PC Configuration KnowledgeExpertise in GOSU Language, configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and Guidewire predefined pluginsRead code in other languages and reverse engineer productsAgile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.Domain knowledge on Property & Casualty InsuranceGuidewire Cloud Certification is a must.7+ years of Guidewire development experience.7+ years of experience coding RESTful APIs.7+ years of experience with coding in multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, etc.7+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL – MS SQL Server & Transact SQL proficiency preferred.Expertise in the end-to-end design and development of business database applications.Experience creating modern web applications and designing Web APIs with REST/JSON.In-depth understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development.What you’ll get:Compelling rewards package including base compensation, eligibility for annual bonus, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities.Outstanding Career Development opportunities.We’ll support your professional development education.Competitive vacation package with the option to purchase 5 extra days off per yearEmployee driven programs focused on gender, LGBTQ+, origins, diversity and inclusionCorporate wellness programs to support our employees’ physical and mental healthHybrid flexible work modelPlease note that we may use AI tools to help us through the recruitment process.
