A professional services firm is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join its private client advisory team. This leadership position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of entrepreneurial businesses and high-net-worth individuals, focusing on strategic planning, complex reorganizations, and cross-border considerations. Reporting directly to the firm’s senior leadership, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping tax strategy and mentoring a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Big 4-trained tax professional who wants to step away from the partner‑track grind while maintaining technical depth and meaningful client engagement. Base pay range CA$170,000.00/yr - CA$200,000.00/yr What You’ll Do Lead complex tax planning and compliance engagements for corporate, personal, and trust clients. Advise owner‑managed and private enterprises on reorganizations, M&A transactions, and succession planning. Provide guidance on cross‑border and estate tax considerations. Coach and mentor intermediate and senior tax staff, fostering continuous learning. Collaborate with partners on business development, client strategy, and practice growth. Stay current with Canadian tax legislation and contribute to internal knowledge sharing. What You Bring CPA designation with completion of CPA In‑Depth Tax (or equivalent advanced tax training). 6+ years of Canadian tax experience, ideally from a national or mid‑tier public accounting firm. Strong technical knowledge in corporate and personal tax planning. Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities. Excellent interpersonal and client‑relationship skills.
