We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that has the ability to produce high volumes of quality work under tight deadlines and who is also an excellent multi-tasker. The successful candidate will be client service oriented with exceptional technical skills (MS Office environment) and a team-oriented mindset. The incumbent must be detailed and results oriented, have superior proofreading and organizational skills, and be able to ensure finished work product is completed in a timely fashion with exceptional accuracy.Major ResponsibilitiesCreating, revising and formatting documents to Firm standardsConverting PDF to Word or Excel Documents; cleaning and formatting the conversionRunning various blacklines/comparisons of documentsAnswer Document Support line, monitor inboxes for work and provide primary document support to legal assistants and legal professionals within the FirmEnsure work product is high quality and technical skills are kept up to date. Adopt practices, take accountability to eliminate errors and “rework” and expand technical expertise by participating in training relevant to your roleProofread work and ensure all corrections are made prior to returning the assignmentPosition RequirementsEducation and ExperienceLegal Secretarial program certificate plus at least 5 to 7 years of experience in a professional, service-oriented office environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Knowledge and Skillsexcellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skillsability to learn, understand, and adhere to internal office procedurescustomer service oriented with a professional manner and diplomacy skillsexcellent attention to detail and well-developed proof-reading skillsorganizational and time-management skills in order to multi-taskexcellent knowledge of computer applications and basic office equipment with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe AcrobatHoursWednesday and Thursday: 4:00 PM - 11:30 PMFriday: 3:00 PM - 10:30 PMSaturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PMSunday: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PMSome overtime may be required.We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.Accessibility and AccommodationWe thank all applicants for their interest in Osler; however, only chosen applicants will be contacted.
