Overview Job Title: Lathe Operator (Manual & CNC)Location: ConcordJob Type: Full-TimeSalary: Competitive, based on experience Job Summary We are seeking a versatile Lathe Operator with experience in both manual lathes and CNC lathes. The ideal candidate will be able to set up, operate, and maintain both types of equipment to produce precision components to exact specifications. You will work from technical drawings, ensure quality control, and maintain high production standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate both manual lathes and CNC lathes to machine metal and plastic components. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders. Select cutting tools, adjust feeds/speeds, and perform turning, facing, threading, and boring operations. Load materials, monitor machining operations, and make adjustments to tooling and offsets as needed. Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Maintain equipment in good working condition and perform basic preventative maintenance. Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work area. Qualifications 2+ years’ experience operating manual and/or CNC lathes. Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, and tooling. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code) is an asset.
