Regulatory Specialist

A confidential food manufacturing organization is seeking a Regulatory Specialist to support regulatory compliance, supplier approval, and product commercialization across domestic and international markets. Scope and accountability will align with experience, making this role suitable for both developing and senior regulatory professionals. Responsibilities Lead and manage the supplier approval program, including raw material approvals, supplier risk assessments, and ongoing compliance oversight. Build and maintain an international regulatory library for all raw materials. Ensure finished products meet applicable regulatory and certification requirements (CFIA, FDA, EU, Codex, Kosher, Halal, GFCP). Support regulatory reviews and approvals for new product launches, reformulations, and product changes. Review and approve labels, ingredient declarations, allergen statements, and certification claims. Manage customer product information requests, technical documentation, and audit support. Maintain regulatory and quality data within electronic systems (e.g., Genesis, LabelView, SharePoint, Business Central, Dynamics CRM). Support food safety and quality programs including HACCP, GMPs, BRCGS, and customer-specific requirements. Provide regulatory and quality support to QC and Operations as required. Senior-level candidates may also support process improvement initiatives, project leadership, and mentoring. Qualifications Diploma or degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience. Experience in food manufacturing regulatory affairs, quality assurance, or compliance. Working knowledge of domestic and international food regulations is an asset. Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Clear written and verbal communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
