Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, Sanitation, and Environment, the Maintenance Supervisor coordinates and oversees the work of their team. They are responsible for ensuring the effective execution of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities on equipment, as well as the proper management of parts required for operations. RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate and monitor the maintenance plan (preventive maintenance, routine inspections, etc.). Ensure the availability of necessary parts in collaboration with the procurement team. Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of equipment or machinery to improve operational efficiency. Apply and enforce processes and work methods to optimize equipment reliability. Ensure the upkeep and proper functioning of all plant equipment. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the maintenance system (ERP, schedules, PM and IR frequency, equipment list, etc.). Supervise and mentor the plant’s electromechanical technicians, fostering the development of their technical skills. Manage departmental payroll, approve timesheets, and monitor work schedules. Call contractors and coordinate their arrival and supervise their activities on-site to ensure compliance with protocols and safety standards. Participate in maintenance tasks as required. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: DEC in Electromechanics, Industrial Mechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or a relevant field (or an equivalent combination of experience and education). Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory or team coordination experience. Excellent command of French, both spoken and written. Proficient in computer tools (MS Office) and solid knowledge of ERP/maintenance software systems. Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance. Ability to manage payroll, approve timesheets, and coordinate work schedules. Analytical mindset and ability to solve problems quickly and effectively. Resourcefulness, autonomy, and initiative. Motivational leadership, teamwork and rigor. Ability to manage priorities and work in a dynamic, constantly evolving environment.
