Duties
and Responsibilities Manage and oversee the full vehicle financing process with a specialization in subprime and non-prime credit solutions. Actively work with customers to understand their financial situation and structure deals that meet both customer needs and lender requirements. Present, explain and sell finance and lease options clearly and professionally, tailoring recommendations to individual credit profiles. Prepare, submit and follow-up on credit applications with a variety of lending institutions in a timely and accurate manner.
Liaise directly with banks and subprime lenders to obtain approvals, negotiate terms, resolve issues and finalize deals efficiently. Ensure all finance-related documentation is completed accurately and remains fully compliant with OMVIC, provincial and federal regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality and secure handling of all customer and financial information. Support vehicle sales by guiding customers seamlessly through the purchasing and financing process.
Track and manage deals, lender programs and approvals within dealership management systems. Coordinate licensing and registration paperwork to ensure timely delivery of vehicles. Proactively generate business through follow-ups, referrals and lead management. Maintain professional standards across the showroom and dealership lot, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management to support overall dealership operations.
Requirements
Valid OMVIC (Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council) Salesperson Registration is mandatory and must be maintained throughout employment. Proven excellence in automotive finance, with strong expertise in subprime credit financing. Strong understanding of vehicle financing, lender programs, credit application processes and deal structuring. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to explain complex financial information clearly and professionally to customers. Proficient in using dealership management software and systems to manage leads, inventory and customer information. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive customer information with discretion and confidentiality. Valid G-class driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by dealership operations. High school diploma and additional certifications related to sales or finance are considered an asset.
