Ultimately, EllisDon’s purpose is to provide people with similar values the opportunity to achieve to their full potential; to deliver that opportunity for great careers to one another; and to contribute meaningfully to the community we share with others.You as a Refrigeration/HVAC Technician will:Be responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance on the Refrigeration/HVAC (HVACR) systemsCoordinates with assigned foreman and/or other trades for the purpose of completing work orders efficiently.Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations.Inspect HVACR systems and their components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, refrigeration plants, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive or corrective maintenance.Install heating and air conditioning equipment and systems for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities.Prepare written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.Repair heating and air conditioning systems and/or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a comfortable work environment.Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair.Respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.Operate a handheld device and maintenance software for performing and recording work requestsComply with, and provides input to, the Health & Safety programComply with the Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct policiesParticipate in rotating on-call periods, such as responding to emergencies, handling after-hours issues, or covering shifts.Is this the right role for you?You have 3-5 years relevant experience in refrigeration/air conditioning maintenanceYou have a Journeyman Refrigeration Certificate, licensed in accordance HRAIStrong computer skills for diagnosis and referenceStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with othersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and detail oriented and problem solving skillsMust be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.Ability to work well with others & independently.Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.Must possess a Class 5 driver’s licenseYou have Reliability Clearance or is eligible to obtain itPosition is located in Cold Lake, ABEllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.Go ahead and be yourself.
