Engineering Process Control Specialist - Temp (12 Months) As a Process Control Specialist, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across our organization. This position is responsible for leading and actively participating in Six Sigma Red X problem‑solving events, ensuring that complex issues are addressed with data‑driven solutions. You will collect and analyze performance data to identify root causes, develop and implement corrective actions, and establish monitoring methods to sustain improvements. Position Goal Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement through Six Sigma problem solving. Essential Functions Lead and participate in statistical problem‑solving activities using DMAIC methodology Participate in and support engineering process improvement projects Establish and implement accurate data collection plans for Six Sigma and process improvement events Actively collect accurate data for analysis Process and analyze collected data using statistical analysis software Develop, test, and implement solutions for Six Sigma problem solving and process improvements Perform design changes as part of problem solution and implement mitigation plans Support others in implementing monitoring systems and improving process control post‑improvement Create and manage engineering process and training documentation Requirements Background in statistical analysis Registered Technologist/Engineer designation or equivalent Minimum 2 years of design‑related experience Knowledge of design principles relevant to essential job functions Statistical analysis certification (minimum Yellow Belt) Experience in production, process improvement, and design optimization Proficiency with Unigraphics NX Skilled in statistical analysis software Ability to use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Excellent teamwork and communication abilities Ability to work independently Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Benefits Be part of a team leading the world's electrification of mass mobility Competitive wages and comprehensive benefit package with immediate eligibility Paid holidays and vacation Opportunity to create a better product, workplace, and world Inclusive workplace culture that values and empowers team members On‑the‑job training with continuous learning environment (investment \$10.9M in 2023) Advancement opportunities within our family of companies New Flyer is an equal opportunity employer.
