Responsibilities Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate resident care activities within approved policies and procedures. Ensure residents' care is evaluated continuously. Work closely with the Registered Staff team and the RAI‑MDS Coordinator to ensure that the appropriate documentation is in place as per policy and to ensure regulatory compliance. Review and audit Point Click Care documentation including progress notes, care plans, and resident assessments. Audit resident care plans on a quarterly basis and ensure documentation accurately reflects the resident’s care requirements. Respond to resident or family concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken within decision‑making authority and/or bring them to the attention of the Director of Care. Qualifications Sound knowledge and background in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long‑term care nursing, including activation, nursing, and personnel administration. Knowledge of The Nursing Homes Act and Regulations, Homes for Special Care Act, Extended Care Program Directives, The Health Disciplines Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food & Drugs Act (Canada), Narcotic Control Act (Canada), and other pertinent federal, provincial, and municipal statutes. Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Post‑graduate studies in nursing, nursing administration, and geriatrics is considered an asset. Canadian work experience is not required.
