You will have the opportunity to utilize and hone your skills in project controls, estimation and administration on technical work both in the field and in the office.This position will be based out of our Lot 50 location in Fort MacKay, AB.What we offer:The shift is Monday – FridayCompetitive wages and excellent benefits starting on your first daySkill development and opportunity for growthBe a part of a true team. Our work is difficult but we get it done safely, with great peopleKey Duties & Responsibilities:Support the full lifecycle of operational projects in accordance with company project management and safety policies and proceduresDevelop documents as required for estimating, planning, and workflowLead the tracking of project cost & schedule performance and report the results to project stakeholdersWork directly with site leadership to determine project needs and provide the necessary support in project control related areasImplement and execute plans in the field by working as an effective member of an operations team on siteLearn independently while seeking advice, guidance and assistance from department leadershipOther duties as assignedQualifications:2+ years of project coordination experience is requiredUndergraduate Engineering Degree (preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Process) is preferredExperience in the field working in a petrochemical plant, or experience in a MOD Yard/fabrication facility is an assetRegistered or eligible for enrolment as an EIT with APEGA is an assetKnowledge of project management principles, concepts, practices, processes, expectations along change management processes is considered an asset.Proven ability to interpret and understand isometric drawings and construction plans.Experience with mechanical fabrication processes and related quality control requirements is an asset.Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite of products (Word, Excel) and PowerBi.Able to provide a negative result on pre-employment drug and alcohol testValid Class 5 licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is requiredPersonal Characteristics:You can speak to anyone – internal and external customers, coordinators and planners and the field personnel executing the workYou can work in a fast paced environment and can learn on the flyYou can take high level direction and turn it into tangible processes and documentationYou are highly motivated and proactive; eagerly accepting new challenges and working under minimal supervisionYou seek out knowledge and want to be a part of the strategyYou are keen to get field experience so that you can hone your engineering skills and become a leaderAdditional InformationThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
