Base Pay Range CA$35.60/yr - CA$35.60/yr Company Overview McEwen Inc. operates four producing mines located in Nevada, Ontario, Mexico, and Argentina, and has exposure to copper through its subsidiary McEwen Copper, owner of the large Los Azules copper deposit in Argentina. Position: Development Miner – Fox Complex Sites Reporting to the Underground Mine Supervisor, the Development Miner is responsible for the efficient completion of day‑to‑day development mining activities. The candidate must be a committed team player with a strong knowledge of safety, production methods, and equipment care. Other duties will be assigned as needed. Operational / Technical Execution Drilling, loading and blasting of development rounds. Drilling and blasting of safety bays. Mucking and loading U/G haulage trucks. Operate jackleg, stoper, or Mclean bolter, install ground support. Identify different types of underground explosives. Install U/G services: air, water, sump piping, ventilation, etc. Install services for the mining process. Install air ventilation and water systems in production areas. Mount screen or mesh in underground headings with rebar or bolting methods for ground support. Identify different types of underground explosives. General Administration and Controls Maintain a high level of housekeeping in work areas. Understand and apply safe work practices. Follow all company policies and standards. Other duties that may arise from time to time. Qualifications and Skills Requirement Must be authorized to work in Canada. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to work safely, efficiently, and maintain a safety‑conscious mentality within the mine environment. Good safety knowledge and the ability to recognize hazards. Highly motivated to learn, train and become part of the McEwen Mine team with professionalism. 2+ years’ work experience as a Development Miner. 5 years’ work experience in an underground mine environment. Must have underground hard rock core knowledge. Willingness to work shift work. Must be physically fit and capable of performing physical labor such as lifting. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
