Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) Job Number: J1225-0104 Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) Job Type: Part Time Job Location: Alliston Job Category: Laboratory Number of Open Positions: 1 Department: Laboratory Union: OPSEU 396 Salary: $36.84 - $50.24/Hour Fte: 1 Job Summary: Contributes to the promotion and treatment of health conditions by performing laboratory test requests ordered by physicians ensuring optimum patient care. Qualifications & Experience Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) and member in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) is mandatory 2 years’ work experience in clinical laboratory preferred Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science an asset Skills & Abilities Excellent communication skills, leadership and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize care and adapt to unexpected change in patient acuity. Demonstrated critical thinking decision making skills. Excellent assessment skills. Interest in and ability to learn new skills. Displays and participates in team concept. Demonstrated ability to work independently and willingness to be flexible to meet department needs.
