Job Number: J1225-0148 Job Title: Medical Radiation Technologist Job Type: Part Time Location: Alliston Job Category: Diagnostic Imaging Number Of Open Positions: 2 Department: Diagnostic Imaging Union: OPSEU 396 Salary: $36.84 - $50.24/Hour FTE: 0.5 Job Summary The Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) employs knowledge, skill, and judgment in imaging technique and radiation‑emitting equipment, alongside an extensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology, to deliver high‑quality care. The MRT ensures care is safe, appropriate, tailored, timely, and maximizes equipment resources. Qualifications and Experience Diploma or Degree in Medical Radiation Sciences, Radiography from an accredited educational institution. CMRITO mandatory, MRT (R) OAMRS highly recommended. Current BCLS. Successful completion of IV contrast media injection course/experience required. Training in cross sectional anatomy. Three (3) years experience in a hospital setting in Radiography and minimum one (1) year experience in CT. Proven knowledge of ALARA and radiation safety. Skills and Abilities Demonstrates ability to utilize diagnostic imaging and hospital software systems. Excellent clinical skills, professional leadership, teamwork, patient flow, and quality improvement. Strong problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking. Proficiency in written and verbal communications. Commitment to customer service and teamwork. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize workloads and manage stressful environments. Works independently, flexible to meet department needs. Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion principles.
