The Law Office of Amy Osman seeks an experienced Immigration Lawyer to help with our growing practice

Amy Osman is a Barrister & Solicitor Professional Corporation with its office in Windsor, Ontario. Her team handles Immigration,Criminal and Consent and Capacity matters.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD/LLM)- Admission to the Bar in the relevant Canadian jurisdiction and in good standing.

Candidates should possess at least three years of Canadian Immigration experience.

Knowledge of government portals and online submissions.

Understanding of both permanent and temporary immigration categories.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

  • Canadian immigration law and will provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in a variety of immigration matters.
  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in matters related to immigration, including visa applications, permanent residency, citizenship, Refugee claims, Group 5 and Family Sponsorship, and Appeals.
  • Conduct legal research and stay current with changes in immigration laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Prepare and file legal documents such as applications and affidavits.
  • Represent clients in hearings, interviews, and proceedings before immigration authorities and tribunals.
  • Advise clients on legal rights and obligations and develop strategies to address their specific immigration needs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Strong drafting skills are essential.
  • Experience monitoring deadlines and prioritizing work.
  • Proficiency in Clio software.
  • Bilingualism would be an asset.
