Job Summary:
The Law Office of Amy Osman, Barrister & Solicitor Professional Corporation, is seeking an experienced Immigration Lawyer to join our team. As a key member of our firm, you will provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in various immigration matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in matters related to immigration, including visa applications, permanent residency, citizenship, refugee claims, group 5 and family sponsorship, and appeals.
- Conduct legal research and stay current with changes in immigration laws, regulations, and policies.
- Prepare and file legal documents such as applications and affidavits.
- Represent clients in hearings, interviews, and proceedings before immigration authorities and tribunals.
- Advise clients on legal rights and obligations and develop strategies to address their specific immigration needs.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD/LLM) - Admission to the Bar in the relevant Canadian jurisdiction and in good standing.
- At least three years of Canadian immigration experience.
- Knowledge of government portals and online submissions.
- Understanding of both permanent and temporary immigration categories.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Clio software.
- Bilingualism would be an asset.
