About the Role Planisware is seeking a motivated QA Engineer who will be responsible for quality assurance activities in the context of software implementations by our consulting teams. Your ultimate objective will be to drive higher customer satisfaction through quality by design. Working as part of a team of Planisware functional and technical consultants, you will set the bar high when it comes to quality assurance and testing activities and will proactively help drive improvements within the teams to achieve this. You will be responsible for quality assurance activities on Planisware Enterprise implementation projects and will work with our consulting team, ensuring client satisfaction by the application of a “quality by design” methodology. Location and Salary This role will be based out of our Montreal, QC office. Planisware currently has a hybrid policy of working in the office four days per week, Monday-Thursday, with remote work allowed on Friday. This is subject to change as the company sees fit. Salary Range: C$70-80k base salary Your Responsibilities Work alongside and as part of consulting teams to deliver high-quality implementations to Planisware customers Analyze user stories and functional requirements for completeness, and proactively ask questions to confirm assumptions or have unclear features explained Derive test cases for Planisware projects that will verify expected outcomes and help identify gaps or unanticipated behaviors Design and execute test scripts to test Planisware implementation of user stories, documenting validation of test scenarios, defects, and resolution Analyze test results, review test scripts and documentation for other team members as needed Pro‑actively track progress against plan for testing activities Follow Planisware quality processes to ensure all standards are adhered to and documentation provided in a timely manner Use Planisware and customer tools, such as Jira, Azure to manage and track requirements, test cases, results and defects. Proactively track metrics in these tools to ensure tasks are on schedule Liaise with the consulting and managed service teams to ensure clarifications/requests for information are proactively communicated and responded to effectively, and risks and issues are tracked, monitored and communicated to stakeholders Define the scope of regression suites, with guidance and support from the consulting teams, and be responsible for maintaining these each sprint Effectively present information in both written and verbal form to management, customers, or other team members Help with quality audits, improvement initiatives and other quality activities as needed Your Qualifications BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Ideally 1-3 years of experience, at least as an intern in a software development environment, preferably with a QA focus Requires basic knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of QA and the software development lifecycle, and software methodologies Good organizational skills, being able to work effectively on concurrent projects are required Ability to be a point person for QA discussions and queries within the teams Able to understand and translate functional use cases and/or technical specifications into test cases Strong written and oral communication skills Quick learner, efficient multi-tasker, and team player Fluency in French and English is required Preferred Qualifications Experience in SaaS environments Experience in Agile methodologies Possession of quality assurance certification(s) Knowledge of portfolio and/or project management and experience with such software platforms 3 weeks of paid vacation + paid public holidays Life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage Annual company kickoff trip RRSP plan with variable company contribution Supplemental health, dental, and vision insurance Up to 4 months of maternity leave Up to 3 months of paternity leave Allowances for mobile phone, internet, and wellness Quarterly events/monthly happy hour Charity donation matching program Tuition assistance program Graduate program Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology, Product Management, and Quality Assurance Industries Software Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
