From surface vessels to sub‑surface operations and unmanned platforms, we are revolutionising how naval missions are executed. Reporting directly to the Materials team, the Inventory Control Analyst will ensure accurate inventory management and support manufacturing operations through cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and process optimisation. Nationality Requirements Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers. The successful person must be able to obtain Canadian government security clearance and satisfy all requirements to work on Canadian Controlled Goods projects. Job Description The Inventory Analyst is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and integrity across production, warehouse, and financial systems. This role combines analytical expertise, Lean principles, and hands‑on execution to optimise material flow, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Execute cycle counting (daily, weekly, monthly) using statistical sampling, ABC classification, and risk‑based methods to maintain inventory accuracy. Perform physical inventory counts and ensure data integrity across production, warehouse, and financial systems. Investigate inventory discrepancies using structured problem‑solving tools (5 Whys, fishbone, Pareto, SPC). Analyse inventory variances and trends; recommend process improvements based on root cause analysis. Manage customer‑owned inventory and support stock audits to meet contractual and SLA requirements. Maintain Kanban systems and apply Lean principles for pull‑based replenishment and waste reduction. Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise material flow, WIP levels, and capacity using VSM, queuing theory, and throughput analysis. Advise on risks affecting production supply and coordinate cross‑functional mitigation. Drive initiatives to reduce slow‑moving inventory, obsolescence, and improve turnover metrics. Maintain and calibrate counting equipment; develop improved methods for complex items. Support VMI and space utilisation optimisation for operational efficiency. Track and report KPIs (accuracy, productivity, variance trends) for data‑driven decisions. Perform other duties supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvement. Core Skills & Tools Inventory management, Lean principles, Kanban systems Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software Statistical analysis, SPC, ABC classification Problem‑solving methodologies (5 Whys, Pareto, fishbone) Data analysis, KPI reporting Continuous improvement and cost optimisation Adaptability to rapid change and prioritisation Physical ability to lift 30 pounds and stand/walk for long periods Safe work practices and healthy work environment support Enthusiasm for products, structure, complexity and continuous learning Typically, a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 5+ years of related experience. 6 months assembly experience preferred.
