Overview Join Royal Inland Hospital as a hospitalist and provide compassionate, patient-focused care across a diverse case mix. As a regional tertiary hub, manage chronic, acute, geriatric, and trauma cases, coordinating specialty care for pediatric, adult, and elderly patients. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, CME, and opportunities to mentor residents and students. Community Kamloops is a vibrant city of 100,000 with lakes, mountains, ski hills, and river systems. It offers excellent educational system, organized sports, music, theatre, and proximity to wineries. The city provides ample recreational opportunities and a strong sense of community. Hospital Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is a 273‑bed tertiary referral center serving ~250,000 people. It is a Level 1 Trauma Centre with 72,000 ED visits per year. The Phil and Jennie Gaglardi Tower opened in 2022 and contains mental‑health and psychiatric units. Role As a hospitalist, you will inspire hope and compassionate care, manage a broad range of medical conditions, and coordinate specialty care. You will engage in interdisciplinary rounds, support education for residents and students, and provide excellent patient outcomes. Work closely with experienced colleagues and benefit from mentorship, training, and professional development. Compensation Clinical Service Contract. Estimated annual remuneration for a full‑time hospitalist is $336,162 plus MOCAP Level 2. Physician overhead: $3.48 per hour. Additional incentives include Quality, Coverage, and Volume Incentives as described below. Benefits and Incentives Vacation Leave (flexible scheduling) Relocation Funding – $9,000 within BC, $12,000 within Canada, $15,000 from outside Canada Quality Incentive – up to an additional 10% of hours worked Coverage Incentive – up to an additional 10% of hours worked Volume Incentive – 20% rate premium for over‑capacity hours (subject to change) Employment Type Full‑time; part‑time hospitalist positions available.
