As the IT Specialist at 7shifts, you will play a key role in supporting our Shifties, identifying technological challenges, devising innovative solutions, and implementing strategies that enhance our operational efficiency and drive sustainable growth. Reporting directly to the Director of IT, you will have the chance to collaborate across various departments, leveraging your expertise to implement impactful solutions that contribute to our organization’s ongoing success.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide IT support to Shifties both in-person and remotely utilizing our ticketing system to address issues relating to hardware and software
  • Act as a primary technical support point of contact for employees in your assigned office, working closely with our employee experience team to ensure seamless in office operations
  • Play a key role in onboarding and offboarding logistics, including facilitating IT training for new hires on a bi-weekly basis and oversee the equipment retrieval process
  • Provide internal support for our core software platforms, including providing new licenses and ensuring the ongoing reliability and performance of devices
  • Become familiar with all aspects of our IT environment to contribute to its support, maintenance, and scalability efforts

What you bring:

  • Previous experience working in an IT Support role
  • Experience working in a customer service environment, internally or externally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - you will be the first point of contact for Shifties relating to technical problems and being able to simplify complex strategies clearly and effectively to other stakeholders is key
  • A good understanding of macOS and familiarity with common troubleshooting and maintenance techniques
  • Extensive experience with SaaS apps such as G Suite, O365, Slack, Zoom, and Atlassian to support our internal systems
  • Experience with Jamf Pro, or equivalent endpoint management, focused on Apple macOS
  • A track record of working with a distributed workforce, in a fast-paced startup environment

It’d be even cooler if you had:

  • Scripting experience (Bash, Python, Perl, etc)
  • Technical knowledge of network infrastructure setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting (Cisco/Meraki preferred)
