Network Infrastructure Specialist – Air Liquide Home Healthcare Canada Location: Mississauga, ON – Creditview Rd (VA HO) Overview This role serves as a principal technical resource for the design, deployment, and sustainment of our core network and telecommunications infrastructure. Responsibilities include architectural design, implementation, incident management, documentation, security enforcement, and collaboration with cross‑functional IT teams. Responsibilities , implement, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud‑native networking constructs (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure VNet). Configure, deploy and troubleshoot network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN devices. Lead incident and problem resolution for critical network infrastructure, conducting root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to minimize MTTR. Participate in continuous review and optimization of network operations, processes, and methodologies. Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation (logicalphysical diagrams, configuration baselines, SOPs). Design and enforce robust network security postures utilizing firewall rule sets, IDS/IPS, ACLs, NAC. Orchestrate and validate network backup strategies and disaster recovery protocols, conducting regular testing. Interface and collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with application, server, and platforms. Maintain expert‑level proficiency in emerging network technologies, industry standards, and best practices. Provide advanced technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders on complex network‑related inquiries. Proactively monitor network performance metrics, health indicators, and capacity utilization, implementing enhancements to optimize reliability, performance, and scalability. Ensure strict adherence to industry best practices, regulatory compliance, and security policies governing network infrastructureli> Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum 5+ years of demonstrable experience in network administration or engineering in enterprise‑level environments. Experience with automation tools or scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible). Deep understanding and practical experience with core networking protocols and technologies: TCP/IP stack, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VPNs (IPsec, SSL), MPLS, QoS. Extensive experience configuring and managing network devices from Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto and large‑scale hybrid cloud environments. Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools. Comprehensive knowledge of network security principles, threat mitigation strategies, and vulnerability management. Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, capable of dissecting complex technical issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate intricate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
