Join SGI as a Facilities Management Specialist and help build safe, efficient, and welcoming workplaces. Job Overview We are looking for a Facilities Management Specialist to oversee and enhance our facilities operations. In this role, you’ll ensure our buildings and workspaces are well‑maintained, safe, and support the needs of our staff and visitors. Responsibilities You will manage building systems, coordinate maintenance, and work with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to keep operations running smoothly. Qualifications You’ll be a great fit if you: Have deep technical knowledge of building systems and enjoy solving complex facilities challenges. Are proactive in identifying opportunities to improve operations, reduce costs, and support sustainability. Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and vendors. Thrive in dynamic environments, balancing multiple projects and priorities while maintaining high standards for safety and quality. Typically, these skills are gained through a one-year Facilities Management Certificate or defined equivalency. Candidates should have 5 – 7 years in maintaining and managing major building systems. Occasionally assuming awkward postures, climbing stairs and ladders (est.: 10%) Physical Environment: The nature of FM’s work requires being in parts of buildings other than office space e.g. equipment rooms, mechanical and electrical equipment rooms, renovations underway, roofs, salvage properties (Est.: up to 10%) depending on observing area. Sensory Attention: Normal office environment. Mental Stress: Normal office environment.
