Lake Shore Gold (a subsidiary of Pan American Silver) is located in Timmins, Ontario. The Timmins West mine lies approximately 18 kilometers west of Timmins in one of the world’s most prolific gold camps. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine – Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt. The mine comprises the Timmins deposit, the Thunder Creek deposit, and the 144 Gap deposit, all interconnected by underground drifts. Job Opportunity We are hiring Underground Beat Geologists for the Timmins West Mine in Timmins, ON and Bell Creek Mine in Porcupine, ON on a full‑time basis. This role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp‑based position. The schedule is days only, 5‑5‑4, 11‑hour shifts. Responsibilities Perform geology and grade control activities at the Timmins West Mine. Demonstrate strong knowledge of geology, mining methods, core logging, drill layout procedures, and associated safety practices. Manage daily grade control functions, including mapping underground, sampling, and providing directions to the Mining Department. Update underground samples and mapping databases, complete formal written reports, and assist with advanced underground drill programs as needed.
