Underground Beat Geologist

We are looking to hire an Underground Beat Geologist to join our team at both the Bell Creek Mine and Timmins West Mines inPorcupine/Timmins, ON., on afull-time basis. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 hour days (5×2) or 4 on and 3 off (4×3), 10 hour days. This schedule is subject to change to a 5-5-4, 11 hour shift schedule as needed to cover for absences at both mines, reverting to the 5×2 or 4×3 schedule when not providing coverage.Please note that this role is not a camp-based position.Job ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will perform geology and grade control activities at either Bell Creek Mine or Timmins West Mine. The successful candidate must have a good knowledge of geology, mining methods, core logging, drill layout procedures and associated safety practices. Must have experience with daily grade control functions that include mapping underground and sampling and providing direction to the Mining Department. You will be required to update underground samples and mapping databases and complete formal written reports and other tasks as requested. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt. The Timmins West mine is comprised of the Timmins deposit, the Thunder Creek deposit, and the 144 Gap deposit.
