The Instructor-Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is responsible for facilitating education based on principles of adult learning for staff in Continuing Care. The CNE assesses, designs, creates, facilitates, coordinates and evaluates the implementation of education to promote clinical competence & the best possible client care. The CNE acts as a role model & resource to staff for professional development & clinical competency. This position works with an interdisciplinary team & consults with managers to determine learning needs & operational requirements. Supports new staff & encourages best practice related to nursing. Supports the use of RAI as a clinical assessment tool through the provision of RAI education, reviews, & one on one高清在线 coaching landscape. Situations, includes& RAI education. Supports the integration & workflow development of Connect Care into nursing practice. Facilitates site-based training & workshops & is instrumental in content creation for the Home Living portfolio. Description As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications Baccalaureate degree[]); n minimum of 5 years of recent Home Living experience. Current working knowledge of Connect Care. Experience with development, implementation, facilitation and evaluation of education materials and programming is required, within the Home Living portfolio. The CNE will be based out of one network office with travel between sites required. At the time of interview, you will be required to demonstrate your computer knowledge and proficiency by completing a skills test. Must have working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Visio, Outlook and Internet. Physically capable of performing nursing tasks which could include transfer of clients. The successful candidate will work independently in clients’ homes, which could include congregate settings, single family dwellings, condos and/or walk‑up apartments. Therefore, the successful candidate must be able to work in different settings and environments (home environments and weather conditions), as well as be able to lift and carry medical bags, which weigh approximately 25-30 lbs. Preferred Qualifications Post graduate studies or certification in adult education, gerontology, chronic disease management and/or palliative care would be an asset.
