Job DescriptionAs Assistant Project Manager, you will actively support and assist the Project Manager in day‑to‑day tasks to ensure that tasks and projects are delivered on time, within budget and quality required.Assist the Project Manager in establishing and maintaining a project plan based on client requirements and company values.Support the Project Manager in contractual tasks to ensure successful performance, on‑time deliverables and adherence to technical requirements.Collaborate with functions that interact with the project, including document control, planning, production, finance, etc.Interact with Canadian Government and Royal Canadian Navy DWP Program personnel.Plan and coordinate multiple activities, subcontractors and tasks to meet project schedule requirements.Work in accordance with the integrated master schedule for the project.Plan, manage and report on budgets, schedule and progress within the Earned Value Management environment.Assist with project administration functions such as document control, risk management, KPI/Metric development and tracking.QualificationsTwo to five years of related experience in a production environment.Understanding of Earned Value Management.Proven ability to achieve high performance levels in a complex, fast‑moving environment.Proven experience adapting to new computer programs and systems.Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills an asset.PMP designation an asset.Successful completion of the investigation and security clearance process required by the federal government’s Contract Security Program.About UsFounded in 1825, Davie is Canada’s largest shipyard.
