With a culture built on integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement, we are looking for individuals who take pride in their work and want to make an impact.About the RoleReporting to the Controller of Finance, the Senior Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This position supports month-end and quarter-end close, oversees inventory and costing activities, and provides backup support for AP and AR functions. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a collaborative and fast‑paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries.Perform balance sheet reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and execute corrective actions.Conduct variance analyses to assess financial performance and support management decision‑making.Support inventory accounting and management, including reconciliation of periodic physical counts and investigation of variances.Assist with Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Maintain and reconcile Fixed Asset and Capital Work‑in‑Progress (CWIP) accounts.Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.Any other duties as assigned to support the Finance team and overall business operations.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation or active CPA student preferred.Minimum 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Proven ability to handle Accounts Payable (trade and non‑trade) and provide backup for AP and AR operations.Solid knowledge of Canadian GAAP (ASPE) and experience working with ERP systems involving multi‑entity and multi‑currency operations.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, lookups, reporting).Strong understanding of inventory, costing methods, and variance analysis.Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.Why Join Us?Competitive compensation and benefits packageCollaborative, team‑focused workplace cultureOpportunity to grow within a dynamic and environmentally conscious industryContribute directly to sustainability and innovation initiativesReady to take the next step in your accounting career?
