Testing Lead

We are seeking an experienced SAP Testing Lead to own end-to-end testing for an SAP implementation or transformation program (e.g., S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, integrated SAP landscapes). This role is responsible for building the test strategy, leading planning and execution across all test phases, managing defects and test governance, and ensuring solutions meet business requirements and quality standards before go‑live. You will work closely with business process owners, SAP functional leads, integration/data teams, cutover, project leadership to deliver a controlled, high-quality release. Key Responsibilities Define and manage the overall test strategy, scope, approach, tooling, environments, and quality gates. Build and maintain the master test plan covering SIT, E2E, UAT, regression, security/role testing, performance (as applicable), and cutover validation. Establish entry/exit criteria, test readiness checkpoints, and go/no‑go inputs for releases. Lead creation of test scenarios and scripts aligned to business processes (order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay, record‑to‑report, hire‑to‑retire, etc.). Coordinate testing across functional, integration, data conversion, reporting, and downstream systems. Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and sign‑offs. Defect Management & Quality Governance Own end‑to‑end defect triage, prioritization, and resolution workflow with SAP functional, technical, and business stakeholders. Run daily defect triage sessions; monitor SLAs, retest cycles, and closure rates. Produce quality metrics and dashboards (test execution progress, pass/fail rates, defect trends, severity aging, readiness status). Partner with Basis/technical teams to confirm test environment availability, refresh schedules, access/roles, and transport plans. Coordinate test data strategy: data loads, masking (if required), test data creation, and refresh planning. Validate integration readiness and batch/job scheduling needed for realistic testing. UAT & Business Enablement Plan and lead UAT with business stakeholders: training on tools/process, execution oversight, support model, and sign‑off management. Coordinate issue resolution during UAT and ensure timely communications to business leads. Release Readiness & Go‑Live Support Provide quality and test readiness input into release governance and cutover planning. Support go‑live and hypercare by validating critical business processes and assisting in issue triage. Improve test processes, templates, and automation opportunities (where applicable). Contribute to lessons learned and implement improvements across future releases. Qualifications 10+ years testing leadership experience on enterprise implementations (SAP strongly preferred). Demonstrated ownership of testing across multiple phases (SIT, E2E, UAT, regression). Strong understanding of SAP business process testing and integration testing. Experience with defect management and test reporting in tools such as ALM/Quality Center, Jira, Azure DevOps, Solution Manager/Focused Build, or equivalent. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Experience with S/4HANA or SAP ecosystem programs (SuccessFactors, Ariba, EWM, BW/4HANA, CPI/PI).
