Fixed Assets Accountant

The Brick is actively seeking to expand its finance team. We are currently looking for a detail‑oriented Fixed Assets Accountant with exceptional written and verbal communication skills to join our team. Responsibilities Review additions with various departments to ensure purchases are being correctly classified between fixed assets and operating costs. Transfer purchases from the construction‑in‑progress accounts into the fixed assets subledger. Reconcile construction‑in‑progress accounts. Process fixed assets amortization and other month‑end journal entries. Prepare month‑end reports for various departments. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Accounting. 5 years of related experience or a combination of experience and education. Experience with Oracle Financials is an asset, but not required. Strong technical accounting skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals both within and outside the organization. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
