As a Disability case manager, you help process life and health insurance claims, promote occupational health, and manage disabilities. More specifically, you will be required to:* Develop strategies and build strong relationships to establish an intervention plan to facilitate the insured's recovery and return to work in a timely and sustainable manner* Communicate by phone and mail with various parties to develop a comprehensive understanding of the elements and context related to the absence and communicate decisions to the insured and the policyholder* Approve and adjudicate claims, process waivers of premium, establish the amount of the benefit, determine the period payable and proceed with the payment and ensure the necessary follow-ups are completed* Prepare documents needed by the organization’s rehabilitation coordinator for claimant interviews.
